| Description: |
The first part of this training session provides an overview of data security fundamentals, frameworks, threats, and regulatory requirements. During the second half, attendees will participate in exercises to practice their learning.
Following a data systems overview and data security fundamentals, the instructor will give a brief overview of data security frameworks (NIST CSF, MITRE ATT@CK, PCI DSS) and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, SOX). Attendees will then perform group practice exercises designed to maximize learning and understanding Following the introductory training, attendees will be given exercises to practice what they learnt during the session. The attendees can work as a group to maximize their learning and understanding of data security threats and protection. Groups will then present their findings to the class for instructor and attendee feedback. The instructor will continue with a summary of current data security top threats, including a brief note on ransomware detection and protection, data security, AI, and upcoming data protection regulations. The training will conclude with organizational data protection takeaways and Q&A. |

| Bio: |
Over the past 15 years in information security and compliance, Gopi has held roles ranging from engineering to leadership positions in highly regulated sectors like Finance and Healthcare. At Fiserv and Veeva, he managed security and compliance for multiple business units, consistently maintaining an impeccable record of zero findings. He is currently the Head of Security and GRC Engineering at Symmetry Systems. Gopi's contributions extend beyond his core work. He has spoken at multiple conferences on Cybersecurity and Privacy, including at RSA San Francisco, and is also an active leader in infosec forums. Gopi served as ISC2 Silicon Valley President in 2013 and on the ISACA Silicon Valley Board from 2014-2021. Additionally, he contributed to CSA through multiple working groups. |

The REGISTRANT/RECORDED PARTY also consents to the use of his/her own name or any fictitious name which may be employed in connection with the aforesaid Video and or Audio and or Photographic recordings. The REGISTRANT/RECORDED PARTY hereby releases any and all claims for Video and or Audio and or Photographic materials collected at this event for the sole use of documentation, publicity, promotion advertisement of the RELEASED PARTIES events.
