Lunch Panel: Current Issues, Risks, and Opportunities in Data Privacy

This panel will briefly cover GDPR, and mention the two state laws in play now and the other three that will be effective by 12/31/2023. We will plan a short presentation to include Privacy Principles, Privacy by Design Principles, and a Maturity Model. It will also cover the Data Life Cycle, and how to discovery and understand your data. The takeaways will include:

  1. The Moderator’s and Panelists’ takes on Privacy issues, risks, and opportunities.
  2. David’s brief story of how his firm responded when customers started asking about their privacy data.
  3. Aaron will briefly share what the Texas DIR is hoping to do with blockchain around privacy.
  4. Harvey will quickly present how to continuously identify your sensitive data (personal and contractual data), and the need to classify it, control it, map it across your applications, and to 3rd and 4th Party Vendors, and create a ROPA.
  5. We will do our best to answer your privacy-related questions.

The REGISTRANT/RECORDED PARTY hereby waives any right that he/she may have to inspect and/or approve the documentation, publicity, promotion and advertisement materials that may be created from them.
